PCB Lawyer confirms Board, ICC unable to take action.
Spot fixing Khalid Lateef emailed response, Dean Jones appeared via Skype
Spot fixing saga’s hearing continued in National cricket Academy. After appearing in front of the ICC anti corruption unit, Cricketer Sharjeel Khan Lawyer Shaygan Ijaz briefed media. He said Islamabad United’s coach Dean Jones appeared before tribunal via Skype, “Dean Jones declared that all four dot balls were played on merit. And they will present their second important witness tomorrow.” After that PCB lawyer Tafazul Rizvi briefed media and said “Tribunal has received Khalid Lateef’s email and answer to all queries has been couriered to Khalid Lateef.” He said “between Khalid Lateef and Sharjeel Khan, who took whom to bookie is quite clear to PCB. KL case further hearing is postponed till 29.” He admitted PCB and ICC cannot take action against bookies as it is beyond the preview of cricket bodies.” He told that Dean Jones confessed his ignorance and told PCB that he came to know of fixing scandal via media.
